Workshop on Integrated T&I Coordination and HSE Commitment Meeting – Vietnam Block B Gas Project

On the morning of July 24, 2025, at the PetroHotel, PTSC successfully organized a Workshop on “Integrated Coordination for Transportation & Installation (T&I) Activities,” in conjunction with the HSE Commitment Signing Ceremony, within the framework of the Block B Gas Project Chain – a nationally significant energy project. The event marked a key milestone in project im▨plementation, underscoring the strong coordination, high sense of responsibility, and commitment from all stakeholders to ensure the project’s safety, quality, and schedule. The workshop gathered representatives from the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group (PVN), MOECO, PTTEP, Phu Quoc POC,🌳 PTSC, McDermott, PTSC M&C, as well as subcontractors involved in the project.

Mr. Pham Xuan Phuc – General Director of Phu Quoc POC delivered the opening speech at the workshop

As the main contractor, PTSC is currently executing several critical work packages, including EPCI#1: Central Processing Platform (CPP), Living Quarters (LQ), Flare, Bridge, and Subsea Isolation Valve (SSIV); EPCIC#2: Four Wellhead Platforms (WHPs), Pipeline End Terminations (PLETs), and in-field pipelines. Additionally, PTSC serves as the EPC contractor for the onshore pipeline, the commissioning leader for the full pipeline system, and the supplier/operator of the project’s FSO. The project is expected to enter its most intensive and complex phase since its launch on October 31, 2023. Offshore launching, transportation, installation, and SIMOPS activities will take place within a short time frame, in constrained environments, and with the simultaneous deployment of large-scale equipment and facilities. This places stringent demands on organizational capability, coordination methods, and integrated management, especially between EPCI#1 and EPCI#2, which are closely interlinked. Any minor mista🌞ke could cause chain reactions and disrupt the entire project schedule.

Overview of the workshop

During the workshop, all parties presented their detailed T&I execution plans, coordination strategies, HSE objectives, risk management frameworks, and emergency response plans. The discussion session was lively, constructive, and open, with many practical contributions from investors, project operators, contractors, and international partners. Key topics included resource allocation, equipment routing, safety control under SIMOPS conditions, site-level authority delegation, and rapid-response mechanisms—all aimed at achieving unified coordination. In its address, PTSC emphasized the crucial role of HSE in every phase of the project, affirming that it is a key factor in protecting people, assets, and the environment, and a fundamental prerequisite for long-term project success. PTSC called on all contractors and workforce members to strictly and proactively implement HSE in a substantive and effective - not merely procedural - manner. To PVN, investors, and project partners, PTSC reaffirmed its commitment to exercising its role as EPCIC contractor responsibly, managing overall HSE performance with the highest level of compliance to industry standards and regulations, and striving for the ultimate goal of "Zero Accidents - Zero Losses."

The workshop concluded with the formal signing of the HSE Commitment. More than a symbolic act, the signing demonstrated the collective determination, responsibility, and trust among all parties working together to deliver the Block B Gas Project Chain safely, efficiently, and with pride.
